14K Gold Navajo Squash Blossom Ring (size 9.5, customizable)

Offered here is a Navajo 14K solid gold ring with a freeform high grade No. 8 mine turquoise cabochon (Eureka, Nevada). The cabochon has a gorgeous and coveted near black spiderweb matrix intermixed within the seafoam green turquoise. This stone is set in a handmade beartooth bezel setting and is flanked by the leaves and tendrils of the squash blossom-- a traditional Navajo motif. The ring has a solid shank and band which will make it last many more years than the commonly seen Navajo split shank design.

You don't find a lot of Navajo gold pieces of this quality in the secondary market for two reasons. Firstly, they are rare. Most Navajo metalsmiths prefer to work silver which has been a part of the tribe's cultural history since the late years of the 19th century. Secondly, most people who get a piece this good are going to keep as a family heirloom.

Ring is stamped: 'JAG', 'NAVAJO', and '14K'
Weight: 12.0 grams
Size: 9.5

"The color of Number 8 (turquoise) varies from light blue, blue with shades of green to beautiful dark blue. It is found with a black, golden, red or brown matrix. With the black and red spider webbing being the most valued. Today Number 8 turquoise is one of the most valuable stones that can be collected. High-grade Number 8 turquoise is by far some of the finest turquoise to ever have come out of Nevada."
