Drop dead gorgeous 18 kt gold Swiss 17 jewel wrist watch by legendary maker, Van Cleef & Arpels. This 'tank' watch is ca. 1970. Sapphire glass crystal sits above white enamel dial and two gold hands. An inset second dial also has gold second hand (most do not have this). Roman numerals are in gold at the watch stations. Clearly marked on the case and the works for Van Cleef & Arpels. Also marked 'La Collection Paris' Comes with a simple black alligator pattern leather band. Pull stem sets the watch quickly and easily.
Hallmarked 750 and numerous other Swiss hallmarks in various locations and has serial number engraved on inside and outside of case. An excellent price on a hard to find watch (only one listed in North America at the time of this writing). Case measures at 23mm in diameter. Watch is in good working order and has been evaluated by a horologist. Movement is virtually silent and does not tick loudly. It has a new battery and band. Excellent near perfect condition: blemishes on reverse of case are slight (surface scratches).
