This is a fine and rare piece of Georgian Scottish silver. Nearly 13" in length and 93.0 grams, it is a very large spoon. I've shown it next to a standard sized serving spoon for scale. Lightly monogrammed on the terminus. Stamped for Edinburgh, Scotland, Sterling, and maker. Stamps are crisp and distinct. Perfect for basting or for removing stuffing from the bird as it has been traditionally for centuries in the Celtic countries. Simple Scottish fiddleback pattern. Condition is superb-- a fine specimen.
